A gift from heaven: Artlantis

Artlantis "...is a heaven-sent software that literally gave life to my dull, dead and pathetic perspective images generated from Sketch Up. A lifesaver indeed!" (A Designer Lost in Randwick)

Meet the artist: Thierry Tutin

We are pleased to introduce you to Thierry Tutin, a master of architectural visualization. Visit his site to experience the depth and breadth of Artlantis' capabilities as the fastest stand-alone 3D rendering application available. Thierry's use of light, color and composition is breathtaking.

Bring your 3D models to life!

"I looked at my options a few months ago but didn’t find anything I liked. I did find one solution, Artlantis Studio, but at the time they didn’t have Revit integrations. I just found out this last week that they released a free beta plugin for RAC2009! They have a 30 day trial of their software package and I really like what I’m seeing. The interface is very intuitive and after watching the tutorials on their website I was able to create a highly complex building assemble animation. I’ll post some work later, but for now I found a reasonably priced software package with a very short learning curve, that is Revit compatible!" (Tim Alatorre, sloArch)

A very handy navigation

Athol from South African Autograph already mentioned it few weeks ago in his blog Photorealistically Speaking,
Artlantis is compatible with 3Dconnexion’s device SpaceNavigatorTM .
The last version of Artlantis now contains a driver of SpaceNavigatorTM. The 3D mouse allows a mix of all the navigation possibilities on various axes simultaneously, and thus it offers a greater freedom of 3D navigation.
SpaceNavigatorTM works with projects of any kind, exterior, interior and even while creating objects”, says Alain Picard, Artlantis product manager. “Moreover you can use it in the same time than the usual mouse by navigating with one hand and using the application’s tools with the other hand, which improves your productivity. It’s a very natural and efficient extension of the Artlantis interface”.

News from Sean

I just learned Sean DiVicenzo has a blog.
There, this designer and draftsman of the photorealistic rendering company Lone Wolf Designs, an Artlantis user, posts his last images in this typical Art Deco style we already saw with the Brick Library project. These renders have a touch of irrealism and magic...
Here are two images from another library project, in which we can still feel the very strong Art Deco inspiration. The website of Lone Wolf company has a gallery that is worth a visit...
