ArchiCAD 14 Hungarian version released

GRAPHISOFT® announced today that the Hungarian version of ArchiCAD® 14 has been released.

The Hungarian version is the tenth of 26 local versions in ArchiCAD 14’s global release schedule, and follows the release of the International, German, Austrian, New Zealand, US, Italian, Australian, French, and Polish versions. All local versions are planned to reach the market by the end of Q3 2010.

Russian “CAD in Construction 2010” Student Design Competition Winner Used ArchiCAD and Artlantis

Winners of the annual international competition "CAD in Construction 2010 or Rock at Sziget with ArchiCAD" were announced at the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. First prize was awarded to Olga Khamatgalieva, a fourth-year student at Southern Federal University (Institute of Architecture and Art) in Rostov-on-Don. Olga used ArchiCAD and Artlantis to design her winning entry, which was the Library of Southern Federal University.

More than 170 students projects arrived from 22 cities across Russia, Ukraine, and Armenia, with the majority of projects created in ArchiCAD.

Artlantis Render Contest Winners Announced

The Artlantis Render Contest, organized by Design8 bv and Artlantismedia.nl, has come to a close and the judges have reviewed the submissions.

And the winners are...

1st Place: Harri Mulyanto - Indonesia
For his rendering seen here, Harri wins a three year subscription to Artlantismedia.nl and three Artlantis Media CD’s (3D Furniture, Modern Furniture and Wood).

2nd Place: Jaco Dippenaar - South Africa
Jaco wins a two year subscription to Artlantismedia.nl and two Artlantis Media CD’s (Industrial and Bathroom & Spa).

3rd Place: Dominique Lamy - France
Dominique wins a one year subscription to artlantismedia.nl and one Artlantis Media CD (3D Furniture).

The renders were judged by Marijke Schaper (Artlantismedia.nl), Alain Picard (Abvent) and
Orlando Sardaro (Design8 bv). They were judged for photorealism, creativity, lighting and
the use of objects and materials.

Artlantis and Arc+ are Dutch TV stars!

CADez was asked to develop 3D interior designs for the Dutch TV show 'House Search' on Channel SBS6. Artlantis rendering software and Arc+ modeling software were used to meet the unique challenges. Potential buyers of a house are helped by famous Dutch interior designers Richard Vink and Bertram Beerbaum. They reveal the potential of the space by explaining their ideas with impressive 3D renderings. The time schedule was extremely tight. The renderings had to be done the same day the buyer, designer and film crew visited the house. Both architects, working from a simple pencil sketch and phone call, were astonished by the speed, flexibility, and quality. All images will be broadcast at the end of August, but you are invited to visit the gallery today!
