The second Artlantis Render Competition, organized by ArtlantisMembers.com and sponsored by Design8, has come to a close, and the winners have been announced. Our regular readers may recall that the theme of the competition was 'Water.' First place goes to Jaco Dippenaar for his design entitled 'Under the Bridge.' Jaco wins 'The Artlantis Attitude' by Dwight Atkinson and the full collection of Neri objects. Second place went to Simon Frederick, while third place was awarded to Fernando Daniel.

Good news for Artlantis 3 / SketchUp 8 users!

The SketchUp 8 import plug-in has been completed and users can open the appropriate .skp format directly in Artlantis on both Mac and Win platforms.

The Artlantis 3.0.5fc1 Windows and Macintosh update patch contain this plug-in and are available for download here. Users who have installed the update patch already are kindly requested to download and install it again.

Abvent announces the release of Artlantis 3.0.5

Abvent announced today a free update for all Artlantis 3 users. The list of enhancements and fixes is available in a .pdf attachment, which comes with the download. The update patch can be downloaded here. The Artlantis 3 demo version has been updated to version 3.0.5.

Artlantis 3 64-bit alpha version has also been updated and the update patch is available in a free download for all those who have installed the previous version. The fixes are listed in the attached .pdf file.

Artlantis 3 users can download the complete Artlantis 3.0.5 64-bit alpha version from the update page of the Artlantis website.

ArtlantisMembers.com design contest is in full swing

It's not too late to submit an original design as part of the ArtlantisMembers.com design contest. 'Water' is the theme of this 2nd contest, sponsored by Design8. Participants are invited to submit their designs by November 30, 2010, on any topic related to water: fountains, swimming pools, waterfalls, etc.

First, second, and third prize winners will each receive Dwight Atkinson's 'The Artlantis Attitude' as well as valuable Neri products.
